 Why I Got Started
I got myself motivated by watching MMA on television. I've always had great strength, so I figured it was time to test myself to see what my body could handle. Within the first few weeks of training I saw results.

 How I Did It
I got the phonebook and searched for any local MMA place to sign up. Sure enough, I found one and I was there the following week. Then I hit the weights. I was unsure how to start but Bodybuilding.com and the information on their site and forums guided my training.

 Training
Monday: Chest/Triceps
After I warm up, I'll do bench press. Normaly I'll start off doing 240 lbs asmany times as I can. Then I'll lower the wieght by 20 lbs. It kills my chest! Then I'll do some incline and decline bench presses doing the same thing. I'll start with a lot of wieght and decrease it for all the other sets. With my triceps I'll do 3 sets of rope pulldowns normally at 110. Then I'll gradually decrease.
Tuesday: Biceps
I choose to do biceps alone because it takes me a while to get them really pumped. I'll start off doing my normall routine of barbell curls. I'll start at 60 lbs and go down for each set. Then I'll do more curls on a machine and alternate back and forth.
Wednesday: Jui-Jitsu
My cardio day. Wrestling around on the mats with all the guys is the best cardio workout I can get. I'll stay there for 2 hours untill my forearms have no strength in them left to grapple. I credit much of my gains to this!

Thursday: Quads
I'll start off by squating 200 lbs as many times as I can. Then I'll go to 180 lbs and do as many as I can. I'll keep doing this untill I get to about 80 lbs then I'll move on to the machines. Then ride my bike home and do the eliptical before I go to bed.
Friday: Grappling
My only workout is grappling all my freinds at thier house and having tornaments. I'ts a great workout if you make it far. Also, I'll end up doing at least 200 pushups before bed.
Saturday: Back
Sunday: Off
All I do on Sunday is get ready for school and plan out my workouts for that week.

 Suggestions For Others
If I had to give anyone advice all I'd say was to find motivation somewhere. Everyone can motivate theselves with something but you have to take action.
Set realistic monthly goals for yourself and, as the months go by and your reacing your goals, you'll strive for harder ones until you've realized how far you've gotten and how great you feel. It's a life changing experience seeing your body change.
