Our Teen Bodybuilder of the Week was...
Thomas Brittingham
How Did You Get Started? In 6th grade I used to do push-ups all the time. I would do sets of 50 until I reached at least 300, but I usually did 700 a day. My best was 1300. Anyways, I got some seriously good results from that and after that I tried using weights. I messed around with the weights for a couple years and finally joined the gym during the summer between 10th and 11th grade. That's when I started to truly get serious about my training because I didn't want to waste the money I used on the membership. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You? What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You? What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains? I prefer food over supplements, but I like whey protein powder as an additional source of protein and I've taken creatine before and it helped my endurance a lot and I think it's worth trying again. Why Do You Love Bodybuilding? I enjoy bodybuilding because it's fun. I like going to the gym, I like stuffing myself with food, I like getting noticed because of my muscles, etc. I can't go a week without it. What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans? I'm going to compete in May, after that I'm not quite sure, my goals are to bench 405, squat 500, and deadlift 550. They're huge goals for someone of my size and bone structure, but worth trying.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders? LIFT HEAVY. Do compound movements mostly and eat like crazy. Do the best you can with what you've got. Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders? I'm not sure. I'm more interested in feats of strength rather than how good somebody looks. I'd have to say Franco Columbo, because he's so incredibly strong and looks amazing at the same time.
