In school I was always the small kid, the kid that people pushed around, the kid that had to try really hard to fit in. I was that kid that would whip through all the problems in math class but couldn't run a mile or curl a 10 pound dumbbell if my life depended on it. After a while I started to get sick and tired of being the small kid so I started lifting. After a while I began to put on weight and gain some muscle, and I started going to the gym quite frequently. When this happened people started showing me more respect as they saw me grow and change.
It felt good to get that respect and see the results each week. As I began to get more and more into sports in high school I began lifting more and more. After a while I just began to enjoy lifting and started to focus more on that than I did on other activities. Now two years later I've packed on 40 pounds of solid muscle and my bench press has nearly doubled. I'm hoping that the next two years will be just as promising.
It's all about diet and routine. When I first started lifting, I went in blind. I had no idea what I was doing so I figured I would just take some protein and curl a dumbbell everyday and I would get huge. For the first year I didn't see very many for gains. Then I started doing research on the human body and how muscles grow and the different things that affect it. Along with that I started doing a lot of research on foods and how different ones affect your body and growth.
It took some time but I learned a lot and it helped me get to where I am. I learned the key factors in diet and routine and those two simple things helped my body explode rapidly. Another big factor is that for the past three months I've been working with a friend of mine that went to college to be a personal trainer, and he helped me a lot with tweaking my diet and routine and also helped me with for when working out so that I could get the most out of every workout.

Keep working hard and don't give up or lose your determination. Anyone can get built, genetics may make it harder but they don't prevent it just do your research, work hard, lift, and you'll get there.
