Our Teen Bodybuilder of the Week was...
Daniel Mull
How Did You Get Started? I first started weight-training with basic moves in 7th grade during off-season. The thrill of gaining poundages in my bench and squat gave me motivation to stay after school and lift on my own. Through 7th and 8th grade I worked mainly on powerlifting moves and got up to 225 in bench before ending 8th grade. During the summer, I read Arnold Schwarzenegger's book, "The Education of a Bodybuilder" and saw that there were many more moves and variations to weight-training. I also read his story of becoming a championship bodybuilder and decided that I'd take up bodybuilding and try to do the same, but beat him out. The next year, my parents home-schooled me, and I started working out at a professional gym using the bodybuilding techniques taught to me in Arnold's book. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains? I have only taken one supplement, which is Creatine, and it has certainly given me great gains in weight, and muscle strength. I have currently not taken Creatine in 4 months though. I have seen a slight slow-down in my weight gain since then. Why do you love Bodybuilding?
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans? I plan to work as hard as I can, so as to get gains at the fastest and completest possible way. I have great dreams to win the Mr. Olympia before the age of 20, and without using illegal growth hormones. I plan to beat out Arnold and claim the title as the Best Bodybuilder in History that so many people have given him. And hopefully afterwards, I'd like to start a bodybuilding federation of my own for competitions and seminars, spreading the good news of bodybuilding to all the world. What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders? If you want abs, drink skim milk! Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders? Arnold Schwarzenegger, Franco Columbo, Ronnie Coleman, Nasser El Sonbaty, and Cory Everson

I've tried many different plans that gave me some new gains, but was a lot of complication. The workout plan I use, and that seems to work well for me is like this: I started out splitting my body up into 4 different parts - Shoulders, Chest & Back, Legs, and Arms. Then I found all the different exercises, movements, and variations for each part and wrote them in separate lists under each part. Each day I work out a part, I look at my list and find new movements I want to do that day, and I keep going through the list until I'm worn out and can't work anymore. The most important part of the plan though, is to always work each set to a level of intensity that gives me an absolute muscle failure - but always in good form. I usually don't follow a regular plan, but go through the exercises, doing whatever sets and reps I wish, or can hash out. I write down what I do in a log as I go through a workout, which helps in remembering what weight to put on an exercise the next time, and to see my gains.
