For many, bodybuilding is a desire, or a dream. Most people can't find the time or are able to stand the pain it takes. Consistency is the key to unlocking the potential of your body. Consistency not only in your lifting, but your training as well (in my writings, when I refer to training, I mean proper lifting, diet, cardio, and rest.) The only people that workout for a living are professional bodybuilders. Of course the rest of us all have jobs, school, families as well as other responsibilities. Personally, I plan my daily activities so that I will have time to work out and really feel like working out. I have many important things in my life and still make the time available to workout.
Eating right during school is also very hard. Luckily all of my teachers are AWESOME, and they let me eat during class, well except for Mr. Sarles, but he lets me eat in the math office and come into class late. I eat breakfast before I go to Seminary and I take three meals to school with me. I eat every 2-3 hours and 6 times a day. Luckily, I have a very loving and supporting mother that prepares my food for me every morning. She keeps asking me how I will live without her. I reassure her that I will be fine because my college schedule will be less hectic than it is right now.
Most of the cardio that I do is immediately after a hard, grueling workout. The glycogen stores are sufficiently depleted and cardio at this moment is very logical. Usually, I allow myself two hours to get my workout in and cardio. Many times, things just aren't going well, but you have to endure and keep training. Once you start getting a little cocky about yourself, enter a bodybuilding competition. Usually you aren't as built or cut as you thought and you get humbled. This has happened to me many times, but hey, it makes me work out really hard to know that the other Men in my weight class stomped me. Having a training partner can help you out a lot, but that will be published in another article. So, stay in there and tough it out. Many goods things come from consistency in your training. Busy schedules are good for you. At least you won't have time to get into trouble! Thanks, Recommend this article to a friend by e-mail here!
