How Did You Get Started?

I began working out during my 8th grade year of football. I started very basically, with the watchful eye of my dad. As a couple years went by and I began to see my body change and when I decided not to go out for my junior year of football and totally commit myself to bodybuilding, I really started to get serious. Not only to get stronger, but also the bodybuilding aspect of weight training.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I have three different workouts that I do:

During contest training I workout six days a week with Sunday off. This gives every body part two workouts a week. During off season I will take at least two days off a week.

I feel with more recovery time I can be more intense in my workouts. Doing the push/pull workouts instead of arms and chest/back workouts work better to me I feel, because when you do chest your tri's are already pumped and it's easy to go right into your tri routine. Same with back, after you are done with back, your bi's are ready to go.

Each one of my workouts last about hour and a half to hour forty five minutes.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Nutrition, I feel is the most important part of bodybuilding and I'm very strict with mine. Sometimes I'm too serious and I don't recommend it for everyone. I don't have any cheat days (except for the day after a contest). I eat six meals a day consisting of oatmeal and a tuna/egg white omelet for breakfast, and the rest of my meals consist of turkey, tuna, chicken, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, beans, and a variety of vegetables.

Upon waking I take whey protein and before going to bed I take some casein protein. The main problem of most people in their diet is eating for pleasure. You must have the mind set that you only eat to fuel your body, and that's how I feel.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I'm not big into supplementation. I feel that you should get most of your nutrients from whole foods. But the things I feel that do help me are protein supplements (Whey and Casein) and also creatine. Other than that I don't take anything.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because unlike team sports, all the reward and disappointment is on me. I can't blame anyone else for not winning a competition or not working hard enough. All the work is my own.

Also I love being able to have total control over my body, and having the will power to be able to sculpt my body into anything I want. In the end, I just like to be motivating to other people to help them stay in shape and live a healthier life.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I will always love bodybuilding and the lifestyle that goes with it. I also hope to continue to motivate others to live a healthier lifestyle.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

To be in this sport you must be totally committed to it and have a passion for it. If you don't you shouldn't be doing it. If you do a have passion for bodybuilding, put everything you have into it and don't ever give up.

Sometimes it may seem like your in a rut, but stick with it and you will finally reach any goal you set for yourself.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My favorite bodybuilders are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ronnie Coleman, Dexter Jackson, and Lee Priest.
