I have always hungered to have a physique to be admired.
It wasn't until I entered the Marine Corps that I looked
at my body and said to myself "I am unproportionate!" I started
to look at people in a whole new way on how they trained and
balanced their physique's. I am as guilty at this
as anyone else was once in time. In high-school or anywhere
really you would see people with big arms and a swollen chest when they
are approaching you. But, as they walked away and you get the view of their
back you don't see close to as much detail or density as you would
the biceps or pectorals. Now that makes me sick on how one
can neglect such a beautiful thing that the body entails. Plus, no
sport can compare to the discipline that body-building requires in everything
from dieting, to rest, to the actual training.

I am an avid believer in Joe Weider's "Instinctive Training".
I feel that I know my body and its capabilities when training
for growth and balance. I try to hit my chest twice a week
and biceps because I feel they lack the most. I keep it intense
and quick because of my metabolism in fear of burning too many
calories. And as far as cardio goes I only hit that area when
I am preparing for a Physical Fitness Test for the Marine Corps.
It usually only takes me 3 weeks to get a ripped mid-section.
So, I only do abdominals about every other week.
I want to become involved in some way whether it be a personal trainer,
a health consultant or an actual competitor in the world of this
ever changing sport.
