H
ello to my fellow trainees, whomever you are (gym rats, models, pencil neck
teens, athletes, ladies, middle aged, or average Joe's just trying to look
good) I identify and wanna help all of you whether you have a body like
Arnold, Aretha Franklin, Terrell Davis or a Skeleton... I am here.
In my introductory article I will focus on 2 main themes and I will also
submit my current training split.

Focus and Visualization

If you want to attain anything with your body you have to have a plan of
attack. Now level with me for just a second. Many of you are probably saying
' Ah this kid probably just reads muscle mags. I am wasting my time so I will
go on to another article.' While I have read many articles and books I think
you all should give me a fair shot. Believe me I have totally transformed my
body and I think it is in your best interests to read on...
OK still with me? Great. Now then lets say that you are a hopeful
politician running for an office. I said hopeful. You are really some nothing
sophomore in college who is dreaming of becoming a senator. Well, you can't go from a nobody to a somebody that fast! You would have to do something like
become a lawyer, win a bunch of cases, get involved, campaign, draw up a
platform etc.
It is the same with training and diet! Let's say that so are trying to
put on some muscle - maybe for a bodybuilding competition, a modeling
audition, an audition in the bedroom with your significant other or maybe
just walking down the streak. Geek to Freak, scrawny to brawny does not go
anywhere without a focused plan of attack and something at the top of the
mountain that you want to reach.

In keeping with the theme of someone who is
trying to be more muscular, let's say you want to look something along the
lines of a Ronnie Coleman, or in the less genetically gifted area, a Russell
Crow type build. Words that come to mind are muscular, sinewy, ripped, chick
magnet (although ya gotta have personality for the latter). So what should
you do...
Find a picture of one of them and post it somewhere where you will see
it. Maybe at the bed side, on the fridge if you need to keep a sharp eye on
nutrition. Second write down a general goal. I want to look like this guy--ripped to the bone, huge pecs, granite like muscle, big biceps, chiseled abs, v-shaped back, sweeping legs, etc.). Then after some trial and error with
training you should write a focused plan of attack:
Workout four days (highlight which exercises and body part pairings are right
for you as an individual) train as intensely as possible (stimulate not annihilate for you gym rats). Aim to increase lifts by 5% every 2-3 weeks. Pay attention to protein, carbs and fat. The plan is really up to what YOU want
to do.

Please, IF ANY OF YOU ARE STILL READING this, don't give me that "I
have poor genetics" or "I don't have time" or "the people at the gym are so much
better looking and perform so much better". It's rubbish! It's all just
rubbish! If your body is important enough you will do it. Your body is your
own masterpiece! Good luck and see you next time where I will highlight my current training split. I will be posting pics as soon as they develop and will also have nutrition info on the way.
