Is Reduced Fat Peanut Butter Good For You?
Like every other day I will eat two slices of wheat bread with reduced fat peanut butter with added minerals/vitamins. I heard that peanut butter contains a lot of fat, although, if made from peanuts, it should be the poly/monounsaturated type fat right?
Peanut butter contains poly/monounsaturated fat. These are good fats. I recommend that you use a 100% natural peanut butter. Most peanut butter, especially reduced fat
versions, contain trans fatty acids. Trans fatty acids are not something you want in your diet. Most grocery stores carry Smucker’s Natural Peanut Butter. Try that and you’ll never eat the regular stuff again.
